About The Park

Coo, what a view! The scenic sights of this site will hit you as soon as you skip through the gate and look down at the site at Merryhill Country Park: a pool encased by plants and a rockery, acres of grass to sunbathe on, and a landscaped suntrap of a camping field.

And cool, what a lot to do too on site too… the energetic could tackle one of the two miniten courts, the big grassy area for ball games or the pétanque court – if you don’t know what pétanque is you’ve never been to a French campsite and children will LOVE our adventure play area.

If chilling is more the name of your game, make your way to the clubhouse next to the swimming pool, for a game of pool, darts or table tennis, and send the kids off to keep themselves amused with the clubhouse’s games, library and Wii – you might not see them for hours. Toilets and unisex showers (with cubicles) are situated in the clubhouse for those pitched closer to the venue and for during the day.

Adults feel free to make use of our sauna!

The Merryhill clubhouse is also the park hub for many different social events during the year: expect discos, race nights, fish and chip nights and live music on various nights; ask the team when you get there if anything is on during your stay. (Unless otherwise specified, Saturday nights are disco nights, so bring your best moves – main season only.)

Pitches at Merryhill are on that landscaped suntrap of a camping field, some with views over the pool and all with electric. Guests have access to washing-up facilities, two new commercial washing machines and dryers and use of the toilet block opened in August 2016.

Nearby, the Ringland Swan pub and the Parsons Woodforde pub are both within three miles; Longwater Retail Park with shops and fast food outlets, is just over four miles away, and the Chapelfield shopping centre is under ten miles.
